Texas is the fakest red state. It is in need of the most mass deportations. I estimate that 1/3rd of Texas’ population are illegals. There’s no way their population is growing that fast without illegal immigration.

As a resident in Ground Zero, the change has been surreal—no one believes me when I tell them that Indians outnumber Hispanics in our district’s schools, which is unheard of in Texas. And I love my Indian students, but too many are coming in too quickly to allow for proper assimilation and community-building. Plus, there’s the whole scamming and displacement of longtime residents that’s intolerable even if the new arrivals are generally friendly and hardworking. I won’t pretend Indians are worse than any other ethnic group (by most metrics, they’re better, and I share a lot in common with Indian households who stress academic success and strong family ties), but it has definitely put a strain on our social services and local economy. We need to respect the process for this kind of development and follow rules.
